I know cool starry brah....
We have a new neighbor that moved up here from Tennessee. We drove over to introduce ourselves and bring a welcome gift..... They wouldn't shake our hands because, ya know... Covid.

Very welcoming of you! Shaking hands will be relegated to the dung heap of history. I don’t wear a mask unless asked to but I’m not going to force someone to shake my hand.

To be honest I never was a big handshaker before Covid. To many nasty people out there. I would just give a thumbs up or a fist bump.

There are a lot of covid precautions that don’t make sense and/or are over blown. Not shaking a stranger’s hand is probably the most sensible and least invasive/inconvenient of the measures taken.

No handshakes is one of very few good things to come from the pandemic. Handshakes spread viruses and have always been unsanitary.

Not for me. It’s too ingrained in my behavior. It’s a formal way to greet someone- especially at the initial introduction. I won’t force anyone to do it, but I judge them for their reluctance. I immediately know they are inferior to me and are treated/considered so accordingly thereafter.
