We can't predict what will occur after the baby, but we can control the situation that we are in before it arrives, and I'd like that situation to be as stable as possible.
This thread is about making the conscious decision to have kids, not what could happen in the future.

Just find the financial stability argument weak.
but you throw out scenarios about things that could happen after the kids are born as if anyone has control over those things
This thread is about making the decision to/not to have kids.

if yall both didn't want them then that's great, nothing wrong with that...
enjoy life without them and watch your other friends pull their hair out

So you're fine with people who can't pay their bills having as many kids as possible? They shouldn't factor in the fact that other people will be supporting their kids? If they want more kids, they should just give it no other thought and have as many as they want?

right, I just believe a financial argument is a poor factor in the decision. Either you want them or you don't. its pretty simple.

No medical reasons not to have them. Loves kids, nieces, nephews, etc. but just mutually decided to enjoy life and grow old with no kids. Will they regret it later in life or not?
Possibly, but it wouldn't be until the very end. The longer you live, the more of your peers that pass away. For those that live very long lives, the loved ones there with them at the end are usually their kids and/or grandkids.
I believe that's stretching the coverage of the OP's question a bit, but it's about all I could think of if my wife and I decided not to have kids.

But,you know what. There's an entire culture that believes exactly that. And i see it everyday, you know, those who feel as you do.

Kids are fricking annoying and I can't figure out why anybody would want them. Yes, ALL kids. YOUR kids. They're annoying.
Maybe your parents should have opted to not reproduce.

Others could want to enjoy tax benefits or insurance benefits,
I'm obviously out of the loop.
I got married this year, and I can count 3 things off the top of my head that I will pay more in taxes being married than if we weren't, and income tax rate is basically a wash, no material difference.

Why don't you file single then? If you and your wife make a lot of money and don't have write-offs then yes, it could be more tax being paid.

Several people have said this already. It seems a really selfish reason to have kids.
Its the reason people might regret not having kids, not the reason to have them. That is the topic.

What would you do if your kid came out like this

A better question is why do degenerate couples have kids? They're doing the world a greater dissesrvice by putting more degenerates in the system.

yeah, and you are rolling the dice on whether your kids will actually take care of you when you are old.
My father shoved his mother into a home, and visited maybe 2x a year. I visited almost as much as he did. She died all alone, despite having 2 kids.
My mother lives in the same town as her mother, and visits daily.
I love kids, I just can't handle the responsibility. having a cat feels like soul crushing responsibility some time, and she is an adult cat that is well behaved.

Because those couples were never mature enough in the first place to consider whether or not they should or shouldn't do it.
