I have seen what my uncle can do. I find it hilarious that people think Rhonda Rousey at 135 lbs would whip an LSU linemans arse........

for some reason that got me thinking of Boo Boo power cleaning. He was deceptively strong as hell.

Overall deficiency in strength compared to a larger male. Shorter limbs, her tiny little woman hands. Now imagine her trying to break your arm with the same grip. Sorry its not happening.

I don't know what you said earlier but she doesn't just use her wrists when throwing an arm bar. Do you really think she couldn't break your arm if she got you in an arm bar?

The fact that you don't know the rules shows me you don't have much of a clue about the UFC which in turn tells me you have no clue the skill set these people possess. Maybe in the 90's you could have taken the 135 lb woman champ but the sport has evolved soooo much that the gap from avg joe is just insurmountable

I wasn't sure about the jumping part? I've seen that happen you shite head. I just didn't know if it was STILL legal. The UFC 1 had like 3 rules. no nut punches, no eye gouging, no biting. So shut it.

Yea I still have a very hard time seeing her prevent getting tackled into the cage by someone with years of experience.

I am assuming you are trolling now but will still indulge you. Regardless of the sex any body with Judo skills wouldn't try to take on someone who out weighs them and is bull rushing them straight up. She would do the same thing a guy who you out weigh by 50 lbs would do. Same ending you on your back.

I do agree with the idea that she wouldn't be able to easily break a stong guys arm. You can out muscle your way out of an arm bar.

No one ever said that an LSU lineman couldn't kick her arse.

Considering no LSU lineman post here, a 6' 230 fat arse eating Cheetos at his desk would get pummeled into the ground/submission

this notion that so many people on a site full of fat, redneck, mouth breathers thinks they're athletic enough to take down a trained professional is ridiculous.

The notion that a sports website full of douchebags wouldnt include ex-athletes and meathead bros who work out is ridiculous. Who the frick cares if she's a professional?

a 6' WNBA forwarrd is also a professional and she would get worked so unbelievably bad by any scrub high school basketball starter who didn't get the slightest look from colleges. How come the magic of being professionals doesn't apply to her?

People think fighting is magic. 0 people in the world under 250 pounds who can even approach playing professional offensive line, 0 people in the world under 6'4" who can even approach playing forward in the NBA, 0 people in the world under 170 pounds that can swat 40 HRs, yet, according to this board, theres a 135 pound fighter(Bruce Lee) who can destroy one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time in Mike Tyson?

Size limitations are somehow recognized in every sport except the most physical. The weight classes disillusion people into thinking size doesn't matter. It only doesn't matter because its been artificially taken out.

It's easy to spot the ones that don't follow the sport. It's not as easy to have such high respect for the skill set if you don't know what you're looking at.

It's absolutely amazing the athlete/skill level the top tier in the sport is compared to the avg joe.

Basketball is a completely different sport than fighting. The comparison is just dumb.

Turns out there's actually already been a male vs. female MMA fight. The female was not Rousey, but it shows what's possible I suppose.....

quote:

When her opponent rolled her over, she locked up a triangle choke from the bottom. Her opponent reacted the way most people would when caught in a choke he didn’t fully understand: He picked her up and slammed her down as hard he could. That’s about the time that Gomes started to worry.

“Some people thought that was fake,” she said. “There’s nothing fake about that guy picking me up and tossing me back down, hard. I landed on my spine. I could have broken my back. I thought he was crazy.”

the whole point is she doesn't have the strength to get me in an arm bar. as much technique as that involves, you have to have strength to pull it off.

I'm pretty sure Charles is a former one, unless he's pulled off a really elaborate charade on here for many years.

Exactly, they have no clue. I would LOVE to see every poster in this thread line up and fight her and watch them all get taken out one after another.

I don't know anything about Charles, but one person out of an entire website doesn't make your point.

The point is the average message board poster would get destroyed.
