I mean, you're correct that she would be the average man, but there are enough people in here that I've got to believe there are a few pretty large highly athletic dudes in here.

So, it's a fair bet that there are some dudes in here that would kick the shite out of her. Most? Nah. Some? Yep.

Nope. Even if someone on here thinks they could dodge a few punches or over power her, she didn't win a medal in the Olympics in judo for nothing. She could out grapple you any day of the week and at any time.

For every elite woman who sets Olympic records, there's a high school kid in Louisiana that can beat it. Every weightlifting world record set by a woman has been beaten by the male state champion just in Louisiana every year.

Any man with an athletic background, has worked out a little, and who weighs in the 175-200 range should be able to handle her. 200-225 should win easily. 225+ could do whatever they want to her.

Men are a lot stronger than women and even more athletic. Not a little stronger, a lot. How some of you don't realize this is beyond me. I could care less about her techniques and skills. Fundamentals can only go so far before strength and athleticism takes over, ask white basketball players.

they would but i think there is a good amount of people on here that would beat her arse.

she is still a girl weighing 135lbs. i have 3-4 friends that i think could beat her arse(2 would destroy her and the other 2 id bet on them). they arent posters but thats not to say there arent plenty of those same people on here that post.

Of course but she uses her entire body when applying an armbar, not just her arms.

Well if this is the case than yeah possibly.... but the "avg" male, everyday athletic and in shape male, hasn't had more wrestiling experience and training hours than her. So....

Yes I agree and to be fair, my own scenario, I'm going in from the bell with a solid rugby tackling technique and then a street fight on the ground wit me on top face fricking her and all. I don't think she could avoid a rugby tackle from a big fricker unless she knees the guy a direct hit.

Are we talking a sanctioned fight with rules or just me and her in a street fight?

Because shed probably tap me out in a sanctioned fight but in a street fight I would tear her apart.

Not trying to come off as some fan boy. I just know i've rolled around on a mat with someone with just minimal jj experience and the way they were able to negate size, strength and quickness with relative ease with technique is pretty amazing.

I just don't think most people respect that and it's mostly people that don't have an understanding or experience with it.

Yep. I mean, I'm guessing D. Hunter hasn't trained to fight much, but in a fight between him nd Rousey......um........LOL. That wouldn't actually be a fight.

and you think she is strong enough to hold you and get you in position for an arm bar?

frick dude there is a reason there are weight classes in this stuff. Much less fighting a whole different gender with a huge weight and strength discrepancy.

This would be interesting, sounds like there is no way she could knock you out clean, I feel she would have a hard time knocking me out as well. Her strategy would probably be to try and wear me down till I make a mistake and leave myself open to a submission. Not sure if she could actually submit me, but even in decent shape I don't think I have the fitness to go the distance with a trained MMA fighter.

Again most guys would have problems in this order: 1) knock out (hard to do to a 200 lbs man, this isn't the movies), 2) submission (hard to do to a 200 lb strong man, this isn't the movies), 3) endurance in the ring (will probably wear down most untrained guys here until she can make a move).

Her issues would be taking a strike from a really strong guy. Even a glancing blow could do serious damage to her.

These are the same people that think Manny would whip the arse of NFL players who outweigh him by 100lbs.

Training is great and sure, she'd hold up a LOT better against a LOT more men than most men realized.

BUT, she's also 135lbs and that's one hell of a significant disadvantage. For all the "you don't get it cause you don't understand MMA skill comments", there's a healthy dose of THEY don't get it cause they don't understand size does f'n matter more than they think.

I mean, would she beat a 200lb George Zimmerman? Well yeah.

You don't have to be held down in order to get an armbar out on you ya know. All she has to do is get two hands on one of your wrists, throw her legs into position and boom you are tapping or getting a broken arm. She has done it tens of thousands of times, the speed she can slap one on someone is mind-blowing.

Yes because all of the top fighters now have similar skill sets. Go back and watch the early UFC fights where they had no weight classes and you will see little dudes tapping guys that have 100+ lbs on them, that are also experts in fighting, but didn't know submission defense.

Ronda has some sick judo and grappling skills. If judo gene lebell vouches for her then she is legit.

It's not just pure strength she's been practicing judo since she's was in grade scho if not younger bc of her mom. She has incredible flexibility reaction time and muscle memory. She sure as hell can beat the avg bar none

yea man, another guy.

there are some 150lb guys i wouldnt mess around with. Even the maximum peak strength of a 150lb guy is worlds apart from a woman the same weight.

Was it a chick? I get that a smaller guy could match a bigger guy, but a much smaller girl against a bigger, stronger guy? Leverage will only get you so far until you don't have the power to initiate.

So are you saying you would be able to do the same thing to a guy who medaled in the Olympics in judo who weighs say 145 (one of the lowest weight classes)

We can agree to disagree

I've shook your hand and had a drink with you and know you can hold your own more times than not if someone was to try you, so not disrespecting at all, but I think she'd make you tap. Maybe not KO you but I don't think she would try that knowing her best bet would be taking your back or hooking up to your arm like a spider monkey. I wouldn't even take a chance because I'm pretty positive she would embarrass me.
