We can all agree to disagree..... Not trying to convince guys that they can't take her. I just find it a little funny.

Not long enough obviously

The biological differences between men and women really can't be overlooked. Testosterone, muscle mass, bone density, etc.
A trained male at 135 pounds has way more muscle than a woman at 135 pounds.

youre 6'2, 170lbs. thats pretty damn skinny. i dont doubt a trained fighter 25lbs lighter than you would demolish you.

What combination of experience and athleticism is it a fair fight?

I have relative who is a young, up-and-comer MMA fighter at featherweight (I think he fights at around Rousey's size.) And my size advantage does nothing against him. He could demolish me.
Again, you can't compare a male and female at the same weight. Their strength is not the same.

An average doctor or lawyer who is much more intelligent than the average welder would suck at welding day one on the job with no training.

Obviously so. I still think miesha Tate is hotter than Ronda though.

I meant trained as in working out, not necessarily fight experience.

wrong. some people can pick up things really quickly like that. I learned how to weld very decently the first class of welding vo tech in high school. It is just trying to understand what is going on. Same with grappling. If you understand why something works you can counter it.

Nope. I would let her get me in a triangle leg choke every time.

quote:I know. And my point was you asked him if he could do it to a 145lb man but a 145 lb MMA would beat Rousey like she was a child. SO, you're going to have to ask it more like, "could he do it to a 110lb guy? In other words, to about a 13 year old? Yeah. He probably could.
I was talking about Mike's rugby strategy of the bull rush and the idea that someone who is out weighed would let someone else just bullrush them and not move.

Could you beat Ronda Rousey in a fight (ufc rules)?
I say I probably can. I'm a lot bigger, stronger, and quicker than she is. I do know some BJJ as well. I would feel terrible if I did though.

I don't know why people here underestimate professional fight training.
Because every other sport, professional training does nothing to allow an elite woman to compete against an above average non-professional man with a massive size advantage. I think you are overestimating it.

How big are her hands? She's a 5'7" 135 lb female so I would imagine they would be tiny. One of the most important things in grappling/wrestling is wrist control. Do you think she can even get her hands around my wrists and squeeze them tight enough to suck them to her body? Do any of you know how hard it is to press yourself off the mat when someone is putting their body weight on you? How hard you have to work and move to create separation when on bottom? Now imagine the person on bottom being 85 lbs lighter. Now imagine her being a woman. And that's just a physical observation.
