also, you idiots comparing a HS bball player beating a WNBA player in basketball are dumb. The HS bball player is a trained bball player.

I didn't play high school ball or ever practice and I could do it. Athleticism and size goes a LONG way.

Of course I've played some pickup and middle school basketball..... But there are also big guys on this board with fighting experience. Not saying I'm one of them.

So this person at 5'7" 135 lbs

beats the shite out of this person at 6'5" 285

Not trying to come off as some fan boy. I just know i've rolled around on a mat with someone with just minimal jj experience and the way they were able to negate size, strength and quickness with relative ease with technique is pretty amazing.

I watched a fight one night between a dude who thought like you and someone I know. He thought his judo/karate or whatever would be able to overcome the 6'8" and over 300 lbs of a buddy of mine we call "Chewy". The Karate Kid ended up in the hospital and requiring surgery to put what use to be his face back together.

Point of all this being that technique and martial arts can only go so far to overcome mass and brutal strength.

JJ Watt's hands are 11 1/8 inches long. Average female's are 6.5.

This means his wrist is likely 10+ inches. When she goes to armbar him like everyone says she would easily do, her fingers would literally come up almost 4" short of wrapping his wrist.

But hey, she's "trained"!!!!!

There are men on here who probably carry a good bit of muscle with wrists over 10" around which pretty would entirely gut her ability to gain wrist control.

Jeebus people. You guys have watched WAY to many movies here some bitch like Angelina Jolie whips arse on 250lb men.

We should bring up the thread on Rousey vs Ray rice. Same people said Rousey would kill ray rice

5'8" 212 lbs

powerlifting numbers

“I still powerlift,” he says. “I’ll do cleans, squats, bench presses, snatches—all the things I did in college. I got my max bench press up to 400 lb, and I can squat around 500. I could probably go higher, but I think that’s a good weight for me to be at.

When did this from her fighting people on the OT board to her fighting JJ Watt, who is an athletic freak of nature.

Also I will take any Female who won a medal in judo at Olympics against a high school boy. I have seen competitions were both sexes compete, boys routinely get worked by girls.

What you fail to realize is the difference in skill level of Rousey and the guy that got mud checked. She is ELITE at what she does.

I'm NOT a big guy and her hand, if average length for her size, wouldn't get all the way around MY wrist.

But, it's probably close enough that she might gain wrist control.

A dude 50lbs bigger than me? Yeah........no.

Sounds like it. Many tma schools (traditional martial arts) aren't always great at teaching legitimate self defense. That's why there are still plenty of mcdojos taking people money.

Also the thing people forget is this thread is self-selecting. There are a ton of people on this board and the big athletes who have a chance are a lot more likely to check in than the small nerds are to come in and admit they have none.

On a website that selects those with an interest in athletics.

Well the poster said no fighting experience=no chance. Also, I added Ray Rice because there was already a 20+ page thread on rousey vs rice

Rice would beat her like a fricking child.

Ray Rice's wrists are almost certainly 10+ inches. Hence, arm bar is waste of time for her to even try.

I mean frick. He would beat beat beat beat the frick out of her.
