No way someone making $41k should be paying almost $1500/month for rent or mortgage.

When did you buy a house?

Yeah, and I want to buy a Ferrari, but I can’t afford one (if I’m being responsible), so you know what? I didn’t buy one

Just curious on your square footage and when you bought the house. Our mortgage with PMI and insurance is about $1500 a month and that was buying before the COVID housing boom.

If we purchased now, our mortgage would be closer to $2,000 a month.

We left an 2 br/2 bath apartment, with no big amenities, whose rent was going up to $1500 a month (we were paying $1100) when we ended the lease.

Have you seen what vehicles cost now? They ain't $350 anymore baw.

If you’re poor, you should drive a poor person’s vehicle. You shouldn’t drive around a new vehicle if you want to cry about being poor.

Unless you're in a metro area those prices get you a pretty decent quality of life. Folks need to learn how to be poor and quit trying to keep up with the joneses.

So you pay over 1,400 in mortgage yet only have a $125 light bill…. I highly doubt this.

My mortgage is higher than that and my light bill is usually right at $100. This doesn't include gas heater or stove though, which is another $50/mo

Who's crying about being poor? I just listed off the cost of living and salary requirements you should ask for if you want to live and work in America.
