You mean the awesome Piccadilly. You could choose which line you wanted to go down. Serve ya?

1. I loved that Picadilly.

2. That Picadilly smelled like peepee, like many do.

3. See (1).

Check in if you ever purchased a poster from Spencer’s.

I remember Spencer’s had a poster rack of some sort in the very back of the store on the right hand side.

I was always excited to go to Sear's with my mom so I can hit up the corn dog place in front.

Great Memories of mom and my brother taking a trip over that scary arse Huey Long bridge, before it was widened, to spend a day at Cortana.

I have so many great memories of that place! I saw a few movies there as a young kid. Then late middle school and high school it became the cool mall to hang out at because it was in the "city." (We didn't consider Hammond the "city.") Then I worked there after I left active duty in the USMC and while I went to college. I was an assistant shipping and receiving manager when I left. Great times!

I remember the movie theater that was at bon Marche but not the one at Cortana. I guess mom never took us to that one. When the theater closed, did it get turned into one of the dept stores? I'm just trying to picture where it would've been in cortana.

The movie theater was across from Chic Fil A. Mervyn’s was part of an expansion they built in the late 80’s that took out the theater.

I can’t remember if Children’s Palace was by Cortana or Bon Marche?

Children’s Palalce was across from Cortana, in that shopping center that had the Wal Mart. My friend threw a shopping basket through their window one night.

I remember shopping at Godchaux's before it slowly morphed into Maison Blanche.

The only cool place in town for those Maurice Francois Girbaud jeans.
