Have you seen or heard of patients on ACE inhibitors or ARBs Having worse outcomes?
Yes. Blood pressure medicine and steroids have been noted as increasing the complications.

If 80% do not need medical attention, they sure as shite aren't getting tested for it.
I don't think untested cases are as prevalent as you think. Don't get me wrong, they are definitely out there, but about 90% of the tests in Louisiana are coming back negative. That's over 27,000 negative tests from people with a doctor's order to get tested. Sure, asymptomatic people aren't getting tested as much, but it isn't like people with cold and flu-like symptoms aren't having the test done. If you use TheCaterpillar's numbers, that's only an extra 15% or so of asymptomatic people probably avoiding testing. And even some of them are getting tested due to known exposure.

How have I been trolling? And why should I care where he’s melting from?

Yeah bro, today has been a good day. I was down in the dumps yesterday but today I am in much better spirits. I know I won't be drinking any more ginger ale or eating any jello for a very long time when this is over.
Happy for you, sir! Keep your head up. All will be okay. You gotta get better so I can meet ya in September. Six feet away, of course.

Understood. I'm just not seeing where only 5% need hospitalizations unless we are factoring in undiagnosed cases. Considering that's an unknown, it just seems like someone is pulling numbers out of the air until more testing is done.
The hospitalized rate includes people that were admitted for very short periods of time and released to quarantine at home.
Most models that say 5% only include those that need more extensive inpatient care. That is impossible to identify with the current state data releases. Our internal data shows that about 5% basically should be hospitalized and another 5% likely shouldn't have been.

Maybe giving a far away date with the possibility of shortening it is better than saying April 13th and almost for sure having to extend it.

I don't have an explanation for that to be honest.
Are they doing it because the available space is there?
Side question: a few insurance companies have said there will be no copays and no ded for the covid treatmens/care. WHO the heck is going to pay for all of that? Lemma guess ...

About the same brother. Just got back from a ct scan. Still got a worrisome blood oxygen level but it is two numbers higher than it was the night I checked in so I will take that as improvement. The doctor was happy to see it go up and so was I. If it continues to go up then I will be home soon. He would like to see it up to 98. I think the meds are finally working. Just that small win has lifted my spirits from yesterday. Thanks for asking. My wife said her cough is better and the kids feel like they are on vacation. Life is good.
Sister dude
Take care and rest easy.

It doesn’t help to exaggerate when you’re trying to make a point. I only started posting here around halfway through the thread.

ETA: It’s what sent all this spiraling out of control in the first place. Sports competing with other sports and leaders competing with other leaders. So afraid of looking like they’re doing nothing that they have to out-cancel every other leader.

My sincerest apologies. My oxygen saturation has been as low as 88 but since I got here and was put on oxygen the levels have went up. It read out at 93 this morning which put me in a fantastic mood. I had a ct scan done just before lunch and am waiting to talk to the doctor so not sure how they look yet. The chloroquine seemed to help but I switched to hydroxychloroquine and it seems to be working a little better. He is concerned about my oxygen saturation being low for so long that it could actually damage organs but we're moving in the right direction now. The nurse is in my room with a bag of iron to put in my iv. Apparently I have anemia though not sure it is related. The liquid in the bag is brown. It freaks me out that it is going to be dripping into my bloodstream.
Thanks for asking. You guys are the best.
