I'm in DFW airport and have seen a few asian gentlemen wearing surgical masks. Not sure if that's to protect themselves or a precaution to protect others.
Hope I'm not patient zero for Baton Rouge...

I remember when this board told me Ebola was going to sweep through the US and kill everyone.

It’s very common to see Asians wearing surgical masks when traveling.

I've been on 4 different flights in the last week and only saw 2-3 peoole wearing a mask (which is normal) in any of the airports (IAH, TPA, DFW). No crew members.
Not flying this week, so it'll be interesting to see what it looks like next time, especially if this thing continues progressing.

I watched an interview with a WHO doctor a few minutes ago and he estimated 3 months to a vaccine

I’ll wait in the WHO or CDC to release their own analysis

Where do you think they are going to get their data?

Is this vaccine going to be as effective as the flu shot?

Even if they don’t predict the correct strain, the flu shot still reduces symptoms so it won’t kill you.

Did they fricking block streets in and out with the past "plague" instances?
Didn't really worry much the last few "outbreaks", but don't recall seeing this amount of preventative measure and of course the rate at which this things is spreading.
Does seem a bit more concerning.

I have no idea how they can claim that when SARS and MERS still don't have vaccines for them and we've had knowledge of them since 2002 and 2012.
