Italy seems to be handling this far worse than Germany and SK

This is from Germany:
As of Monday afternoon, officials had recorded more than 1,175 cases of the disease and zero deaths in the nation of 82 million people.
People can take from that what they want, but everyone is latching onto outliers.
Hell, Germany is likely an outlier in the other direction.
Most situations will be like SK and the US.
Some deaths, mainly in older individuals, but largely overblown.

Where is the info that we actually want right now, like when more testing will be available, progress on a vaccine, etc?
Our hospital is working on getting in house testing now.
Vaccines take months. You do not want that rushed.

The Germans have that elite blood, baw. Of course it's an outlier.

Scruffy stop Fing up the thread, we are trying to share real info here!!!! It’s super serial

That's great to hear.
I know the vaccines take a while, would just be nice to hear where we are on that.

How many people in the US died of the flu yesterday? In Italy?
This sounds like a great opportunity to prove your worth once again and try out those math skills.

My favorite part of the presser - HHS/CDC does not know how many tests have been administered to date.

It’s not math. It’s information gathering.

This is the part of this whole thing that angers me. The right hand of CDC/HHS doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
CDC leadership needs to be sacked at some point, even if it is after this is over.

That organization has become too politicized and lost their focus.
This is LITERALLY one of the main reasons for their existence.

My dumbass company just cancelled internal meetings and tradeshow participation through the end of April.
Also one of our larger customer segments is the O&G industry.
I may need to learn how to code.

From the presser:
Part of me believes they have no clue how many have been tested. Another part thinks they have a pretty good idea but don't want to tell us.
Even when the clown talked about how many tests are out there. He went around in circles and never really said how many are in place. That is pretty easy to know, if they sent them out correctly. Mailed/accepted. Know. Just a bunch of lies.
South Korea has to be laughing at us. The whole world must think we are either idiots or cover-ups.
The whole press conference did nothing to help the situation. I'm not talking about politics. Has nothing to do with politics. I could care less. Just tell me the truth. Say something.
Just some stupid flier.
Should have just said: Drink more Ovaltine.

In their defense, haven’t they lost control of the testing now that private facilities are in the game?
Shows how much communication though.

Wait....there is a town named king of Prussia?
King of Prussia - home to largest mall in the USA. (Largest retail space - 3 million sq feet - not largest with roller coasters).
The town of King of Prussia was named after an Inn called the King of Prussia Inn. Which was named after the King of Prussia, Frederick I. Read more about the fascinating history here.
But people in these parts usually just say KOP.

We are no longer sending them to the CDC.

I understand, but there needs to be coordination. They need to all work together. Work swiftly and be on top of the entire situation. I don't want to know next year. I want to know as soon as humanly possible. And this sucks.
We are still behind the 8 ball.
