The subreddit for coronavirus had around 190k subscribers a day ago. It had been steadily increasing by a few thousand new subscribers per day. It exploded today, adding 60k new subscribers. Just an indicator of how many people are paying attention.

Holy shite it’s at over 400k subscribers now.

I would think it has more BS than we have in this.

It’s actually been well regulated so far. I expect that to change for the worse though as it gets bigger and bigger and harder to manage.

Yup and possibly less, as the mall would be predominantly younger crowd.

I've been feeling the need to support Lebron, Mao and the Chinese Government over the past few days. This bioweapon must be having some kind of effect.

I’d just like to take a moment to re-post the post above I made almost a month ago. I did the math then before it was being reported, and figured out the mortality rate was over 2%, or 1 in 45 people.

Everyone who downvoted can suck it.

Your post is also still just as wrong today as it was then. We test EVERYBODY with the slightest symptoms who walks into a clinic for the flu. We have only tested the MOST CRITICALLY ILL for COVID because of the lack of testing supplies available. When we have the capacity to start testing everyone with flu-like symptoms who tests negative for the flu, the mortality rate will drop like a rock. Most people who have COVID right now don't even know they have it (and likely never will).

In SK, the rate is significantly less than 2%.

It is less than 1%.

Last I saw, it was at 0.7%.

Someone posted that over 80% were either asymptotic or only exhibiting minimal symptoms and wouldn't have known they had anything unless they were tested. Did that come from any official source? How's everyone aggregating their info and cleaning the data?

I believe the official number was over 82% and something like 18% were critical.

He chases tornadoes this time of year. Pulls a trailer with little gizmos that he's always trying to get sucked up to gather data. I imagine he's pretty busy today.

I would imagine it won't be prudent to investigate the odd smell and flies coming from under the interstate overpass for the foreseeable future. The high-risk lifestyle of the nonrecreational camper and the offramp toll collector is about to take a turn.

This is so overstated and blown out of proportion. It’s just a new variation of the flu that’s it. You can thank me later when you realize this instead of going to Costco and stocking up with three years of supplies.

Please enlighten us with the data you have to back this up.

Why is it that almost every poster whose name starts with "Mr" is an idiot?
