I think the research indicated that no one had been contagious 9 days after symptom onset.

When it was crazy in our nursing home, they checked d-dimer with other bloodwork as well as a swab and X-ray. Some were already on anti-coagulants and I’m not sure what they put those who needed something on.

Thanks

I might have him hop in the truck with me and drive him around to a few of our job sites on Friday.

He isn't a homebody, so I know this has been driving him crazy on the inside. But I'm glad he has taken it serious and listened to what I said.

I'll say one thing, people are paranoid to get within 30 feet of me(bringing stuff over for us) rather than the 6 feet of "social distancing"

Smash idk. I’ve got more residents losing weight due to not eating — food is quality (I eat it or did when I was allowed in the building), and have the assistance they need.

They’re depressed. Many are now developing wounds. One just had a peg — her son refused hospice and While I understand it’s their decision I’m pretty upset about the peg placement considering her quality of life.

I don’t know if I want to go back when they finally allow it. I don’t want to see SO many of my residents that way ... this is to me a violation of their human rights.

Needs to be at least 10 days after start of symptoms (or date of positive test if you aren’t sure start of symptoms). AND....the past 3 of those 10 days you were free from fever and any other worsening symptoms.

This is the guidelines we use in the hospital and what patients going home are told.

However.....there are certain situations where that 10 days turns into At least 20 days isolation. CDC has the full list on that but basically if you were sick enough to be hospitalized, if you are immunosuppressed, have uncontrolled diabetes, been on certain steroid treatments for an extended amount of time and a few other scenarios

Have to say, the lack of smell and taste is just fricking awful.

Can’t even enjoy whiskey.

Scruffy started drinking this gift Jim Beam Green Apple stuff the other night because he can’t taste it at all.

fricking awful experience.

Took the test back on Tuesday at the Urgent Care. Guy from my office told me to go get checked because 5 other dudes fell ill over the weekend.

Thought I had came down with a flu back on Sunday till I was told that.

I've noticed something Saturday morning when I stopped into Trader Joe's to get an Ice Coffee, after I drank that I started getting bubble guts like I was about to have a blow out. That afternoon I'm at HEB getting stuff to BBQ for the evening and my body started to sweat a little and I felt something minor in my chest, it subsided.

Sunday morning, I get slammed with fever, aches, chills, coughing, headaches. This last onto Tuesday when I go get checked.

Currently, fluctuations of temperature, coughing, headaches and always tired.

No loss of taste or smell.

I missed this. When did you contract it? Did you have a bad go of it or mild?

Very mild. Just a slight cough that has resolved. No fevers.

Symptoms started last Friday.

Lost sense of smell on Wed.

It is just a crappy experience.

At least Scruffy is able to get rid of his shitty alcohol.

Similar to my dad's symptoms. He didn't have loss of taste or smell either.

Did they put you on any medicine?

I’m not having any fever, but my temp is dropping below normal range. Not sure which is worse to be honest. Had a headache this am, but I fished all day yesterday. Not much coughing, but sinus congestion goes from severe to almost nothing a couple times a day. It’s a strange deal.

Ive had similar experience. Tested positive on Sunday after running a fever on Saturday night. Took a Z Pack n prednisone for first 5 days.
Felt tired for about 3 days. Ran out of meds, got another Z pack n prednisone.
I started to feel better yesterday not as tired but cant shake this cough and small chest congestion. I also have asthma. So my doctor started me on breathing treatments 4 times a day. My O2 levels are normal. If i could just shake this nagging congestion I think Ill be in the clear. Just always scary w asthma n congestion. Im on day 6

So it’s okay to drink? Lost all mine this am, fricking sucks. Would have rather lost use of my wang than smell and taste.

May not agree there.

Not being able to taste is fricking awful though.

Scruffy did learn that the residual “oral tasting” abilities are fairly interesting.

You can still differentiate tastes, there just isn’t much to it.

It does make drinking WAY easier.
