Antibody testing does not have enough accuracy to differentiate between this virus and other coronavirus' in my opinion. I think they give a far higher positive than actual but that's only my opinion.
Open up very cautiously in my opinion.

And that is my point I guess — that isn’t a very practical plan. Unless it’s a rapid test every day for a nurse/healthcare worker who is headed In to work a shift and can get a 10:15 minute answer.
So if it’s not practical why do they keep saying we need to test everyone? I don’t think I’m correctly asking what I’m thinking.

We don't need to test everyone. We do need to be able to test all healthcare workers regularly. We need to test residents, workers, and guests at nursing homes regularly. We need workplace testing for places like these meatpacking plants that have gotten shut down, where workers are close to each other.
We also need to be able to quickly test anyone with a fever. And when someone is positive, we need to be able to quickly test all their family and coworkers.
That's not everyone, but it's a lot of tests -- probably 500,000 or so a day. That's why the bill that Congress and the President just agreed on includes $25 billion for additional testing, because that's what keeps us from having a big 2nd wave.

Yes!!! But when our Governor and Birx/Fauci day the key to returning to normal is testing without qualifying what type of testing/who to test it makes my head go “what?”
If I don’t hear many words including “test” for a while after this it’ll be a good thing.

Human nature and politics.
We instinctively want to know stuff and blame others when we can't. We get frustrated with the lack of knowledge.
We blame others for our frustrations and have a herd mentality (politics) to blame others those frustrations.
Nobody on either side has the answer so each blames the other. Its fricking stupid.
We, as a country, have no clue what the answer is yet so instead of rallying around our political bases, why don't we work as one to figure this shite out.

Tiguar sorry to hear that. May I ask if it was a decision per family/medical team or did it just happen?
We've got 4 that have died and some high temps, one changed to hospice status and only one as of now with poor O2 sats; 6 in the hospital that I'm told are holding their own.
How are y'all in general census/covid wise?

say we need to get 50% of the US population infected that would be around 330,000 - 1,155,000. We still have a pretty good way to go.
