re: Real world experience with fuel stabilizers for long term storage? - slacker00
If you only want to store 5 gallons, fill it at the beginning of the month. At the end of the month pour it into your car and refill it with fresh gas. Repeat each month or close to it when you are at the gas station anyways....

re: Shower system rec - slacker00
A wand is mostly useful for cleaning the actual shower, bathing pets, and shaving legs. A wand can replace a regular showerhead or you can have both. The rain shower is not like standing outside in a heavy rain....

re: Plumbing help - slacker00
You can try and put a bend in the tip of your snake, that can sometime help it turn the corner a little better. How old is the house? Is there access to the pipe under the house? If it is really a hard bend you can cut it out and put something with a nice sweep. If the bend is causing the clog it...

re: Winches/Hoists - slacker00
I did not know this. I thought that adding a single pulley would do exactly this. Same principle as using a snatch block, but just a single one.
It does add mechanical advantage. In this configuration it tries to pull the rafters down with 2x the weight of the keg but provides no adv...

re: Dehumidifier question - slacker00
What CFM/ton is your AC blower set to?
This. If you are able, turning down the blower speed on your HVAC will be far more effective at drying the air than a small dehumidifier. If you are complaining about humidity on the really hot days, your HVAC is probably oversized and needs to ...

re: Stripped/bent threads on outdoor chair leg..suggestions? - slacker00
If you can borrow a tap, that would be the proper tool to repair damaged threads on the leg of the chair. If you can't borrow one you can make a homemade tap. Get a bolt that matches the threads on the foot. Use a cutoff wheel on your dremel to to make a cut on the bolt that runs across the threads ...

Agree with crawdude's post. I installed an ultra-aire myself this past winter and happy with it. I suppose the diy difficulty level depends on your exact access and layout. The concept is easy....

re: The two controversial Bakersfield urgent care doctors (0.03%) have to be baws, right? - slacker00
Exactly, they want things to open up and saying that is not the problem. Saying we are experts, you should trust us and here are the facts, and then completely getting those basic "facts" wrong is the problem. They are either being intentionally deceitful or they are stupid. ...
