Coronavirus Can Be Reactivated After COVID-19 Patients Survived; Second Time Can Be Fatal

Based on the study from Korea's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the once infected and now cured of the coronavirus still have a chance to reactivate within their body. This happens to be the case for some individuals who are thought to be cured or immune from the disease after winning their fight against it.
About 51 patients over at South Korea have tested positive, AGAIN. The CDC has confirmed this just on Monday, Apr. 6. They weren't infected again by the virus. However, it seems like the virus has reactivated itself within the host's body, given they were just tested shortly after being released from quarantine.
Fear of re-infection in recovered patients is also growing in the country where the virus originated from China. Reports from China have been coming in as of late that some are tested positive again after being cleared of the coronavirus and in some of those cases resulting in death.

This is super misleading. It’s not catching it a second time. They were never done with it in the first place.
I mean it’s still something to take seriously. But I read the same article, or at least an article about the same study. The South Korean doctors were very clear in that these people did not beat the disease and got reinfected. Rather, in rare circumstances people can seem to be free of the disease for a week or two before it comes back

The risk for many of us is too high. Blacks make up 70% of Louisiana’s deaths from the coronavirus.
This weekend is typically a weekend we gather as Black families. We throw on white linen and party for Good Friday, or fellowship at church. We have Easter egg hunts for the kids all over the community. And the crawfish boils! Lord, the crawfish boils.
Listen, we can’t have any of that this weekend. If the person doesn’t live with you, they shouldn’t visit this weekend. The risk is too high for us. I know you think that our melanin skin you have protects you from everything. It doesn’t and history shows us healthcare systems don’t treat us equally. While there are advancements, there is still understandable mistrust.
I’m asking you to stay home, and share this video. Even if you don’t know me, consider me your cousin that just stopped by the bbq to grab a plate and drop some info on you. A personal friend of mine lost his mother this week from this virus. It’s heartbreaking and I don’t want any more families to suffer. That’s why I’m making this request, the impact is real.
We know why things impact our communities and people worse. Historic and structural racism got us here. It’s now time we demand our leaders make structural change to prevent this type of disparity from existing ever again.
