Those in the "she's only 11 years old" camp, be honest. There is no level of physical control by police, school officials or authority figures you find justified on juveniles. If this officer would have taken her to the ground and cuffed her we would have a litany of responses stating, "That roid raging cop WWE body slammed that girl! What a Nazi pussy!"
He should have jogged after her?
So, she walks away from the initial encounter but if the cop trots after her she'll just, "Oh, I guess you were really serious. Now I'll comply, Mr. Officer."
We have now raised several generations of children with no corporal punishment in the schools or home. These kids learn at an early age there are no ramifications for their actions; in fact, most adults are scared to discipline them. So, you get shitty little kids that grow up to be problem adults.

My friends and I bought a police version taser and shot each other with it a few times when drunk.

People have been killed or permanently injured by tasers, and not just the very young and elderly. This is a bigger deal and risk than you are making it. It's a risk any time devices like this are used that they will be deployed incorrectly and cause severe harm. It can be a better alternative, but that isn't nearly the situation here. It's risk this guy took over a crime of a few dollars that's only a misdemeanor from an 11 year old child who isn't a threat to anyone who could have otherwise been easily detained without causing harm to anyone. You are plain stupid stupid stupid or a horrible person if you don't see an issue here, and it's disturbing that people like you are walking around.
