Tune in to the Walton and Johnson show now, for proof that they read tigerdroppings.

Cincinnati police policy permits taser use on children as young as 7 years old.
Maybe if parents would parent, police would not have to..

Apparently, her and her friends were stealing from this store on a regular basis before she was tased.
Has she stolen from it since?
Has she stolen from it since?

1. The girl needs to be disciplined. She is a little shite and heading down a dark path
2. The cop is a complete worthless uniform if he cant subdue and 11 year old girl without using a taser

I guess its telling that you think tasing is an acceptable form of parenting.
How often do you tase your kids?

have any other facts come out about the situation? Or are we still going with the one sentence from the story that is very obviously leaving details out?

Do you think the reaction was appropriate?

With the lack of detail provide, I can't answer that.

I posted a much longer article a page or two back. Please read it.

How about you actually parent and teach the kid that illegal actions have consequences?

I see no other details other than a pandering mayor apologizing with no other statements of fact. Or did you post another article?

There were a couple of items mentioned in the second article that the first missed.
Primarily that the girl did in fact steal a candy bar, and that the officer neglected to turn on his bodycam during the incident, so we will never really know what happened.
I have said repeatedly I have no problem with her being detained, just with the idea that a taser was necessary.

Let's ask the girl if she plans to steal again in the future.

Outside of some actual details of the encounter, you can't really know that though. But as usual, your mind is made up the second you hear a cop is involved.

She probably won't. Given how effective it is, perhaps this should become SOP for all kids. I am sure the parents of the OT wouldnt mind.

If my kid steals and doesn't follow the commands of police, I won't be mad she got tazed.
