Used to live in the same neighborhood as Jeff Brantley

I assume you are talking about Southern Oaks. I live maybe 2 miles from his (Old?) house. Does he still live there?

Ted Dibiase Lived behind my mom and dad (Woodmoore) when he was doing his thing as the Million Dollar Man - AKA "The meanest man in Pro Wrasslin". Sadly, I lost all faith in that Sport of Kings one night when we saw Ted taking his two kids (maybe 4 and 6) to see The Littlest Mermaid movie. (How could you have done that to your fans, Ted). Rumor in those years was that on Halloween, Ted handed out $5.00 bills instead of candy (Wasn't true, but every little kid in Clinton thought it was).

Actually, the Ted I knew back then was an OK guy. Not all that big a guy, but heavy on the muscles.

Met Terry Bradshaw once on a Delta Flight to Denver - real hoot!

I would feel bad if I didn't share this. Walked into Jackson Airport one morning and saw Andre The Giant standing at the ticket counter. He had knee surgery a few days before that in Jackson and was flying out on my flight (or I was on his flight). He was looking pretty grim, on crutches looking like he was in big pain. This little black kid comes up with his grandparents and the kid recognizes Andre and goes crazy. Andre somehow manages to get down on his knees to get low enough to have his picture taken with his arm around the little kid. It looked like the bend was killing him, but he was so very nice about it. He almost never got up afterwards, but eventually did. Later, as I entered the plane (on my way to cheap seats-coach) he was in first class, taking up two seats with his leg cranked out as straight as he could get it. As I passed by I told him he was nice to take the photo with the kid at the ticket counter earlier. He just smiled and said "Thanks".

Long time ago. Still remember how nice that was.

Odelle Beckham used to go to lauberge a couple times a week when I worked there. He would always chat for a bit and seemed very humble and hard working.

Charles Barkley. He's the coolest pro athlete that exists.

Btw I've also met Jeff Brantley. He went to Berry High School which became Hoover High School where I went.

Charles Barkley is much much cooler.

Shut your whore mouth. When I met Drew at a small function he was cool. Funny and goofed around with us. He let two of us on each side take a pic with us standing tip toes so we could tell our friends he was short. Nice dude.

Met Bobby Allison one time when he was signing autographs. They had run out of pictures so he just signed a blank sheet of paper and said, “Here you go kid, it’s just a slow developing picture.” Got that autograph and picture of me and him together in a frame.

Reggie White

I was 8 and we went to a Memphis showboats practice. He called me over and talked to me for a little bit during a water break. He asked if I had any good looking teachers that might want to go out with him.

Lou Ferrigno. He raised his eyebrows a bit when my sister held me up so he could see my Hulk magnet belt. I bet he still remembers that day.

John Elway. We were in palm springs airport, around 230 am waiting on a flight to LAX. we were 6 Marines given last minutes orders to go overseas. he was coming through with about 4 guards. He stopped, came over, thanked us for our service, took pictures and signed autographs. he didn't have to do it, but it showed us that there is more to life than just sports.

Steve Gleason's benefit Gleason Gras has gone on about 6 years now. When it first started, 15 or so Saints players showed up, including Brees. As the years have gone on, it has thinned out to 2-3, sometimes upwards of 5. Usually special teams players or backups. Brees along with Morestead are the 2 that show up every year, no matter what. And all of them as invited. He comes in the VIP and lets everyone mob him. Anyone fricks asking stupid questions, everyone wanting autographs. He handles it with class every time

Went to a Dallas Desperadoes football game years ago. My sons were getting souvenirs and autographs after the game was over. I passed by Sterling Sharpe in the stands talking to someone. Knew who he was but called him Shannon by accident. He got more than a bit pissed but maintained his cool.

Not good on my part.

Stewart Cink was a very good friend of mine when I was a kid.

Use to work with Jeff Kinney (OJs fullback)

Met Terry Bradshaw. Really nice and a large individual. Massive hands.
