Shaq, several times.

Doesn't get any cooler than that, at least not to me. He's my sports hero.

Shaq, a couple of times.

Biggest dbag was a QB at LSU 35 - 40 years ago and not our current OC.

Use to be a huge Lott fan. Did yall ever talk about the game in which he decided to cut part of his finger off in order to be able to stay in the game?

Adam Dunn, he and my uncle are friends and hunted together several times.

Uncle brought him to the house one night after a hunt. Dunn is a huge human being.

I’m willing to bet my retirement fund that you have no ball autographed by a Varnell Singleton.

If I were to share a story like this, I would at least know the guy’s name was Vernel.

Math?

Edit: Also not Guidry because, again, do the math. 35 to 40 years.

Peter Forsberg. Narrowly edging out Joe Sakic and Patrick Roy. Forsberg left me a little star struck. That's the only time I was ever a little too impressed. Also Shaq and Chris Jackson and about 20 Rams players from the 70's.

John Cappeletti, Heisman winner who played for the LA Rams, walked me across the Super Dome field after a game and signed all my stuff and talked to me. He was EASILY the nicest person.

He and my buddy are both members of Bluejack National in Houston. My buddy tells me some funny stories involving Dunn. Apparently, he is quite fond of Angels Envy.

Luis Gonzalez- the coolest by far, once paid for a group of us to go to SF for a Packer/49ers game and a trip to Wisconsin for a Badger football game and Packer game at Lambeau the next day (paid for airfare, hotels, bar/restaurant tabs, etc.) and ran into him at restaurants a few times and when it came time to pay the tab we were told he had taken care of it. A genuinely nice guy.

David Price is pretty cool but I’ve known him since before he was famous.

Coolest athlete I’ve ever met was definitely Fred Taylor. He sat behind me on a flight from Nassau to FLL and talked with me and my buddies the whole way back. Couldn’t have been a nicer dude. Funny too.
