Was flying in a Chinook in Iraq and was at the end and noticed fluid leaking on the walls. Got a crew members attention and he said this is a Chinook if it ain't leaking then I am worried.

Sugarcane farm. Loved it and would do it again if the stress of the financial aspect wasn’t so bad.

While in the Navy, I was an Aviation Fuels QA supervisor. Had an absolute blast being on the flight deck all of my time at sea. Seeing the Southern Cross was cool.

Trophy jerk in college. Free food, free beer, named our own hours. Resurfaced bowling lanes too, time of our lives.

Guy embezzled millions, killed his partner, and also was abusive to his wife & kids. A real POS.

Line cook at a restaurant when I was in college. No drugs on the clock but there were plenty to be had after hours. We’d also shotgun red bulls. Pretty PG, but it was a good “pick me up”.

Currently a golf caddie at a high end course

I get to hangout with groups on bachelor parties/golf trips/weddings/etc, give them course advice, usually drink, then get paid very very well for walking around the most pure and green grass imaginable

specialty chemical company owned by a private equity firm. It was like the Wild West. Complete freedom to design and build with the money to back it up

My first job ever. Age 15, working for the city recreation department. We started early at 6am to beat the heat of the day. We cut, raked, chalked, and maintained 9 baseball fields and all lawn and sidewalks for the entire park, along with the recreation football field and the high school football field.

We painted the parking lot lines and the foul poles the same mustard yellow. We cleaned cinderblock bathrooms out with Cresto-Mint cleaner and a garden hoseZ We were paid minimum wage and we absolutely sweated our asses off. I had an amazing tan and logged a ridiculous amount of hours on a zero-turn Gravely 60 and a Shindaiwa weedeater.

Our crew consisted of all high school football players.

Myself, KG, Ronaldo, Tyrone (Toby), DH, Willie, and AK.

We had a Gator 6 wheeler and a Kawasaki Mule side by side that we would race like nascar daily.

We played dominos on our lunch breaks and umpired little league baseball games in the afternoons and evenings.

We were the main crew for tournaments on the weekends and could get a field dragged, raked, mound packed with crimson, foul lines and batters box chalked in about 10 mins.

I made enough money to pay for gas in my 1994 Red Chevy Cheyenne, insurance, and beer on the weekends if one of the drunks on the doorstep of the asian owned grocery store in the worst part of town would be so kind.

I worked there all 4 summers for high school and worked shifts at night at the local Movie Gallery my senior year. I’m 37 now, had a 10 year engineering career, have worked for myself since 2017, and I can safely say that those times were the happiest of my life.

Everything was so simple.
