You are a dumbass. You really get worked up about commercials? You think companies have some political agenda? I mean in away they do, but it's about their target audience.
If they can make more money advertising as if they support a certain cause, then they will support that cause.

Has their been anything regarding Gillete's sales since they released their videi. Did their sales spike, increase, stay the same?
Im Converse defense, they didn't single-handedly attack their biggest buying market. Alot more women buy shoes than women buying men's razors.
Maybe this works out well for Converse. Or maybe it flops like hell and they lose millions, and we all point in laugh.

These businesses have figured out that the white middle class will still buy their shite no matter what they put out. They don't have time or desire to boycott or find alternatives.
Therefore, the goal is to appeal to the culture that shops emotionally and is easily convinced to spend money they probably shouldn't be spending in the name of social justice.

I haven't bought a pair of Converse shoes in 25 years and that silly ad didn't change my plans. They didn't tell us what the outcome of those decisions were. Here's what likely happened:
woman quit job - she went bankrupct and ended up eating out of a garbage can
woman traveled the world - she got raped and killed in Costa Rica
woman gave up social media - yea that would never happen

The commercial is pretty stupid but it wouldn’t make me stop buying a Converse shoe if I liked the shoes. Haven’t bought a pair of Converse since middle school in the 70’s. They could have naked lingerie models playing volleyball in Chuck Taylor’s for a commercial and I wouldn’t buy the shoe...........but I would enjoy the commercial
