How in the hell is a kid kicking his own nose? Is that even physically possible?

Never been to a Hampton Inn with just those options. If I’m traveling on the cheap (or using Hilton Honors points), Hampton Inn is my go-to. They always have some combination of scrambled eggs, cheese omeletes, breakfast sausage links, smoked sausage, bacon, biscuits...and the GOAT - bagel toppers. And they always have a pancake station, english muffins, and a couple types of muffins in addition to pastries. Stayed at one a couple weeks ago and they had several of those items.

Stayed at a Hampton Inn all last week and this is what they had.

When I travel for work I never get a hotel. I just hit the local bar and go home with the hottest woman in the place. Sometimes they make me breakfast in the morning, but I usually don't have time before I have to be to work the next morning.

It wasn’t an expensive place. Might have been a comfort inn.

Hampton was doing pretty good smoothies before Covid hit. I try to stay at the Drury Inn. Dinner, booze and decent breakfast included. The booze is rotgut.

I don't think the OP's post is accurate of Hampton Inn overall. I have stayed at several over the last year and they had a typical light breakfast spread.

I didn’t see no damned 90s gas prices next to this place.

Used to stay at a Country Inn and Suites when traveling for work that put on a damn fine spread, every morning was something different. Then the place changed owners and it was cereal and muffins if you were lucky.

Too bad there’s not a Travel Board.
Maybe someone could start one.

honestly i can't blame the hotels for this. get to cut the costs and headache of having a real breakfast without lowering rates.

one of the few COVID blessings in the business world.

Continental Breakfast

This always makes me laugh. They should call it "breakfast that is hidden in the cost of your hotel".

Go to France. Your continental breakfast is coffee, maaaaaaybe a boiled egg, a few pieces of French bread, some soft butter and jam.

The Drury Inn on the San Antonio Riverwalk has a legit Continental breakfast.

Why is it called a continental breakfast when the only continent represented is North America?

Also, OP just got down there too late and everything was gone. You have to get there early for the sausage and pancakes cause they only put out so much so when it's gone it's gone. They aren't waiting around for you.

Staying at a Comfort Inn in Sturbridge, MA. They said they had grab and go breakfast so I was skeptical but this is legit. Two types of waffle batter, waffle irons, toaster for toast, bagels and English muffins, whatever jam and jelly you want, eggs and sausage, three types of cereal, boiled eggs, OJ, Apple juice, cranberry juice.
