It’s seriously just bad coffee a pastry and maybe some cereal. And this a damned Hampton Inn we are talking about here.

I choose my hotels based on breakfast b/c I'm fat. You didn't do your homework. There's still plenty hotels that are cheaper than Hampton that provide free hot breakfasts.
Drury Inn is one of them.

I always get my breakfast at McD when I travel

There’s nothing at a hotel half as good as a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle

What year is it?

I don't ever remember a continental breakfast that wasn't Otis spunkenmeyer and a rubbery hard boiled egg

Stayed in a hotel in Vermont during COVID. They weren’t doing a full breakfast because of COVID but had breakfast sandwiches to go made with local English muffins, Vermont cheddar cheese, and eggs from a nearby farm.

I almost booked another night there just to get the breakfast again.

Careful. I got dragged for this very thread topic a little over a year ago.

But I agree. They never were all that great, but it was really bad my first post-Covid work trip.

Never been to a Hampton Inn with just those options. If I’m traveling on the cheap (or using Hilton Honors points), Hampton Inn is my go-to. They always have some combination of scrambled eggs, cheese omeletes, breakfast sausage links, smoked sausage, bacon, biscuits...and the GOAT - bagel toppers. And they always have a pancake station, english muffins, and a couple types of muffins in addition to pastries. Stayed at one a couple weeks ago and they had several of those items.

Only time I haven’t seen at least 2 or 3 of these available, it’s because you show up 5minutes before breakfast is over and they are out of everything.

You’re lucky if you even find one that still offers it. Most hotels cut that cost during Covid.

They were never all that great but they were a step below a Shoneys, lots of options and enough to get you filled up for the start of the day.

Just keep a box of Pop Tarts in your room. Sleep an extra 15-30 minutes. Win.

Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last weekend. So I'm an expert on everything including breakfast. They had Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy (gravy was actually pretty good), pastries, cereal, a pancake maker, yogurt and fresh fruit.

Something for everyone.

Bingo.. we have a winner. Hampton Inn has a wide variety of breakfast choices. The only on I like better or used too was the Embassy Suites…
