Oh youre worried about those tax coffers? Lol. Yea those things are never just overflowing and spent on garbage.

Hey we are sending billions out right now to fight Covid/climate/etc to other peoples coffers to get siphoned to their political elite. You vote for that.

Maybe all the money we hand out to other places can be kept here to makeup for Mikes lawnmowing side job he is keeping from daddy govt.

Aren't we all? This board loves to bitch about those that make too little money to pay taxes.

I'm cool with that. Saw today we're going to send billions to Israel for their Iron Dome. Yay.

We sent 10 million to Pakistan for gender studies in the last Covid package. It's time we make the rich pay!

To continue to monitor who you spend your money with. It started at $10k to track drug traffickers.

Think about the advantage political rivals will have to further crush the little people that are making small contributions to “undesirable” candidates. How else can government quantify how large the enemy (We the People) is?

Do you purchase hunting & camping gear? How much do fire armz cost?

$600 triggers a 1099 for IRS reporting. Why not change that rule instead? Because they want to know who to clamp down on to eliminate.

Social scoring is the goal here. Control who can travel, have a job (vaccinations), buy a house perhaps. If you aren’t them you’re in the way.

I'm curious to see how low the bar is for flagging accounts for "suspicious activity" and what kind of onus will be put on the banks

As someone with first hand experience, the levels of government waste that goes to do nothing more than put butts in seats and do nothing for years on juicy government contracts should make any taxpayer’s blood boil

they already do this for any cash transactions and if you withdraw or deposit more then $5k in cash they will alert the irs to investigate you for tax evasion.

i keep cash on hand for emergencies and used to do this on the regular and when i got to $5k in cash i put it in the bank which was usually once a year

i got audited every year because of it and even had my name on an FBI watch list for being a possible drug kingpin and money laundering.

i dated a girl at the bank and she explained just how far they up in everyones banking business so, based on her advice, now i make sure to keep every transaction under $500 and they no longer have me under surveillance and on their watch lists

Oh, I'm aware. Our economy would crash if something meaningful was ever done about it though, because even a lot of private sector jobs are dependent on that system.

i worked in (and still do work with) k12. the dumbest shite they spend money on was infuriating. i don't mind a nice meal catered in a few times a year and teachers/admin going to a conference and living it up a bit...

not to mention the admins. while i was there, our student count went up almost 1k students in a few years. there was something like 15-20 new teachers from the day i got there till the day i left and 25ish new admin positions.

Im more worried about the government wasting my money over some person that pays no taxes. If they didnt waste as much, they wouldnt need as much.

You voted for a guy that got on world tv and told americans straight to their face that he was going to raise their taxes and that the government needs to be in every facet of your life.
