Vitamin D deficiency can be an indicator of estrogen and seratonin elevation. Simply taking a Vitamin D supplement could slow down some of her depression and paranoia symptoms
In conclusion, hysteria can be cured with a good dose of D.

Any thoughts?
You probably got busted cheating on her and are now on anonymous forum trying to make her sound crazy.
Edit to add: I have a really hard time believing that any serious person would come here with this sort of thing.

That wife is likely getting a lot of D in all those hotel rooms she's burning money on.
I mean, yeah, let's hope it's at least a suite where she sticks her kid in another room that she's spirited away from their father who she gets all that life nourishing vitamin D.
I think honestly this dude's wife left him and he can't accept it. What kind of man gives his wife and unlimited cash tab, take the kid, and doesn't call an attorney.

I read through 10 pages, not the full 17. But there has not been nearly enough mention about the kids. I saw he said the youngest is with her.
Whether it's mental, drugs, cheating, whatever, who cares. The OP needs to be most concerned with getting his kid back. The advice of leaving, getting a lawyer, seeing a therapist needs to all be secondary. You have your kid around a mentally unstable person .
Also to the OP, you don't seem to be helping, even though you are think you are trying. Making excuses for her isn't the way. Get her help, with whatever the issue is. She won't voluntarily seek help, so go through the means necessary to force it. It's probably your only chance of this ultimately ending happily.

He probably met with an attorney and it went like this:
“You said you were told to seek legal advice from a message board?”
“Yeah, I explained the situation on there”
“You did what?!!!”
“Don’t worry it’s anonymous”

As someone who grew -up w/ a truly crazy mom, you're not doing your kids any favors by keeping them in this environment and there are no "gently pushing" for mental help. You should feel like shite for letting it go on this long and you sure as hell shouldn't let your 4 yo stay in some fricking hotel with her during this. Man up! You can't sweep this shite under the rug.

I read through two pages but if no one told the OP please check your credit report. I wouldn't be surprised if she has open credit account that are maxed out. Ol'boy is screwed.

I don’t mean to be overly dramatic, but this reminds me of the veterinarian that killed a cop around Bay St Louis. If it was a guy, I don’t think she’d bring a kid with her. Same with gambling; a minor complicates going to a casino. The paranoia, the random withdrawals, the DV…sounds like it could be a psychotic break. You need to get your child away from her.
She killed two cops and yes, it sounds very similar.
