They do seafood right. Also the soups are out of this world. It used to be a lot better, but the quality is getting back to where it was.

Please elaborate. These folks sound entertaining.
Let's just say that the twins and their friends could be the subject of an entertaining NSFW babe thread.

the course reno pitched to MCC members claimed that the course would be transformed into what would be considered the top course in the state and top 10 in the Southeast.
Top 10 in the southeast is fairly unrealistic, but best course in the state isn't. Of course, that says more about Louisiana golf than anything.

I know HS tennis was pretty big back in the 80's, don't know how it is today...
I've known Chris since HS, and he stayed local. He was at BRCC back in the 90's for a while before moving to MCC..
Tim went to Arkansas, played pro for a few years and eventually became Texas Tech's head tennis coach. Unfortunately, his son had a tragic golf cart accident and I think since he resigned in 2015.
Ski was in the class ahead of us, didn't know him very well, just by name...
Chris was at Bocage though, not BRCC

My wife's grandparents, and now uncle, were members at New Orleans country club. We probably go twice a year for lunch. I always ask my wife where do they keep the keep the casket. It feels like a funeral home in there.

There are ghetto houses with yards that overlook NOCC's course from what I can see.
Why is this the case?

On one side is the hood and on the other is mansions from Garden Lane and Bamboo Road.

Which is the one with the clothing optional pool?
Posted on 5/13/20 at 3:06 pm to Jim Rockford
That’s Paul Allen’s old favorite place. It’s the Country Club and it’s in New Orleans. No longer clothing optional.

Back in the day, the NOAC pool was no clothing -- NO OPTION. Lots of Pedos and priests hung out at the NOAC pool.

I'm sure it's a dump by now, right? Isn't Kenner like 55% Hispanic?
I guess Chateau and that new area Gabriel or whatever is still "nice" but the old areas of Woodlake Estates that used to be nice are now trashy AF and it's not like young successful professionals are buying houses there

Went there as a kid back in the 70's with a friend, his dad was a member. Nothing worse than seeing a bunch of naked old men...
and it was a salt water pool....

I know many members of MCC...heard they may be putting in pickleball courts, which will put them over the top for me

I talked to an old guy once, who said he remembered how Tennessee Williams used to hang out around the pool and watch him and all his young buddies swim in the buff there.

That's definitely on the table. Lots of changes on the horizon at MCC.

Interesting to know. Would be cool to meet up with you if you're in town one day.

My dad was a member in the 50's.
A friend of mine joined in the early 80's and tried to get me to join. My dad said NO F*CKING WAY. He explained to me how the pool had basically become a pedo/homo pickup joint in the 60's and 70's.
