Common knowledge or useless info?

None of my friends (late 20’s - early 30’s) know who killed Kennedy, MLK, or Lee Harvey. I thought this was common knowledge and they were just dumbasses until I asked some of my coworkers (all various ages) and none of them knew either. It really blew my mind that 2 out of 20 people only knew who killed each man. So what says the OT? Are my friends dumbasses or is it just useless info that no one remembers?

Your friends may not be “dumb” per se, but such a lack of basic history past your early 20’s demonstrates a poor upbringing, poor character, or both.

People in general don’t know a lot of history or much of anything at all. Lots of folks can’t find where they live on a map.

They had no clue. One guy threw out “John Wilkes Booth?” but then he correctly said “or was that Lincoln?” so I give him half credit for that. I like history so I thought maybe that was why I knew the answers but no I’m certain that they’re just dumbasses.
