Again, Covington was about to be cut by the UFC due to not drawing on his fights even though he was winning. This persona was brought on after the fact to enhance interest in his fights. It’s not hard to understand

I like Dustin. Great fighter, met him a few times and always cool to talk to. I honestly don't think he has much of a chance beating Covington especially at welterweight. The only thing stopping Covington is Usman and I believe Khamzat Chimaev will be the WW champ by the end of the year.
