Masvidal may not be able to beat him any longer, but he was 100% right about Covington. He has no pull, so this is the route he has to resort to in order to sell fights.

Yeah, unless it’s all kabuki theater, talking about wife and especially kid is a good way to make it personal, and personal punches get delivered a little harder.
Maybe a strategy to make him go on the offensive or cause trouble at home and add stress.
