How do they get approved in the first place? Claiming they are selling live crawfish to be cooked at home?

not sure for each individual grocery but each store has a code and the code means how the food item is taxed and/or food stamp eligible

If it’s a ‘cold grocery’ item, or ‘uncooked grocery’ it’s usually food stamp purchase eligible. So if a store programs the barcode as such, no one can know what was really sold. Cold cooked crawfish are eligible. It’s stupid, but those are the rules.

Uncooked crawfish are eligible to be bought with food stamps, too. So if hot crawfish are mislabeled *wink wink* then you are able to buy them.

Citizens cannot be repealed. It’s a court decision in favor of citizens and other non-media corporations making some key parts of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (the McCain–Feingold Act) unconstitutional that would have to be overturned by the Supremes or a have a constitutional amendment ratified.

The BCRA was flawed including banning issue advertising by non-profits like right to life and environmental organizations within a certain time frame before elections along with corporations and labor unions.

Other issues were handled in other cases including part that “increased the limit on financial contributions to nominees who are running against self-funded opponents in political campaigns”.

The govt’s deputy solicitor general representing the FEC made arguments that were actually problematic for the for BCRA and the FEC and triggered hearing case again on a broader basis than just Citizens ability to air it’s video.

for god sakes, trump isn't banning junk food. He wants to ban the purchase of junk food with taxpayer dollars.

Fatties can still buy diet cokes and lil debbie to their hearts content.

It needs to be banned. A large chunk of SNAP (which I absolutely support and think if anything the benefit amounts need to be raised) goes towards sugary drinks.

I’d also advocate for banning bottled water as well which is nothing but a huge waste and I don’t understand why people refuse to drink tap

This is corporate greed at its finest. The goal of a corporation is to earn more money than they did the previous year and in order to do that, they have to lobby the government to get contracts, get laws passed in their favor, etc. Corporations depend on welfare more than anything.
