Who knew that taking a 20 ft pontoon boat out in Lake Pontchartrain after a strong cold front was a bad idea?

The lake looked rough a little while ago so I could imagine it was pretty bad yesterday when this happened. Some people have no common sense.

They couldn’t resist that crystal clear body of water.

Looks like a deck boat and not a pontoon.

The same people who think owning a pontoon boat is a good idea.

The wind was blowing its arse off yesterday.

I called a buddy of mine and said let’s go fishing, we both laughed because we knew there was no way

Same guy sent me a video text from the beach on Grand Isle this morning and it was blowing 25-30

That’s a deck boat and not a pontoon. I’d put a hundred down that they forgot to put the plug in!!

That water doesn’t look rough enough to cause it to sink unless it was overloaded, or the plug wasn’t in.

The body dumping theory may make since if the plug was in.

I knew a guy that stole a car in Mobile and ran out of gas on that bridge. He jumped off the bridge and was found the next day dead as a hammer.

I used to putt putt on the edges of Pontchartrain in my kayak. One time I was paddling along and the Coast Guard made sure to make some wake a couple of hundred feet away. It threw me out of my kayak, and I look over and they were all lined up laughing.

Embarrassing and hilarious all at the same time.
