Lake Pontchartrain isn't exactly the North Sea. I've sailed little Sunfish and Optimists in it. Is that sort of boat just completely unsuited to the lake? Where is it meant to sail?

Don’t remember. I didn’t pay that close attention to the boat. It was a similar color though.

First it’s not a pontoon boat it’s a hurricane style boat.
Also, lake looks rough but not rough enough to sink that boat.
I’m thinking dude was going to check his hunting land and is now filling an insurance claim for his boat and all his belongings including his GUNS!

this boat is, in fact, washed up next to the train tracks in the Bonnet Carre. Look to your right as you head to New Orleans.

That’s weird since it happened east of the causeway bridge. Saw the 2 helicopters during the rescue when I was driving across the causeway Thursday morning.
