He still lives in University Club. If he is broke he must have gambled a lot of it away, but I know before this past season started he put it out there he was interested in coaching again.. And hasn't taken any job since.
LSU's 2019 team story would make a fascinating 30 for 30 if it was broken down.
It would have to story with mentioning Les Mile's last 3 years of recruiting, him getting fired and then LSU naming O the interim before naming him HC. How he did recruit Burrow and brought Brady in, while most of the coaching staff was part of Miles coaching staff. They win a NC. Then less than 2 years later he is fired. He filed for divorce right after winning the NC. How Brian Kelly had to teach the team how to practice again then there could be a part 2 with Kelly leading up to the hiring of Lane Kiffin.

If any of yall saw that long form podcast he did in Nashville (Busboys?) a couple weeks ago.. it was actually pretty good, i thought .. gave a lot of insights, for me at least, on the 2019 season & Burrow recruitment … At any rate, he specifically said in that podcast “LSU took care of me” financially so he never needs to work again, but might choose to.. and he also made a point, and talked at great length- about how he just celebrated 25 years , i think, of sobriety .. i choose to believe the guy, i dont think he’s had a sip of alcohol in a long long time.. but who knows .. and tbh i have no idea if gambling falls under sobriety or not .
