Paw Patrol" is equally polarizing. The show, about a group of rescue dogs led by a boy named Ryder, is a regular source of complaint among parents and of adoration among their kids. Buzzfeed called the show "terrible" and pointed to instances of gender and social inequality that go unchecked on the show

The “good guy” mayor is a black woman and the “bad guy” mayor is a white man.

Yet these same people would never make any fuss over a movie called White Men Can’t Jump.

The bumbling science guys who always need to be saved are white guys. One is French and it’s not altogether clear they aren’t lovers. And according to IMDb many of the writers are women.

There is no shortage of female role models on that show.

Stop inserting facts to counter their arguments.

These are the same people that think TLJ was the very 1st Star Wars movie to portray women as strong and capable.

Anyone taking that amount of time to examine a freaking cartoon needs to look in a mirror and ask themselves where they went wrong in life.

Get your kids old CDs, like the Little Rascals and old Popeye cartoons.

My little nephew and niece love that old stuff.

Not to mention, one of the "bad guys" is a white guy.

Do they just want to do away with all positive white male characters?

My TV is on nick jr a lot and one thing I've noticed is shows with positive male lead characters, especially white male characters always have positive female characters. But shows with female lead characters never have positive male characters. It's always some bumbling white boy that can't do anything right.

The Trump/serving CNN bashing in this site is pathetic. Meanwhile the almost comically absurd slanting of Fox barely gets s mention.

And one of the many useless throw away female characters took Akbar’s (a brown alien) rightful place as the hero to save what was left of the resistance. If a movie doesn’t look like a Benelton ad now it doesn’t get made. Luke dies.... Yay no more heroic white guys now that Poe got knocked down by the Matriarchy. What a pile of nonsensical shite that film was.

Thomas," the long-running television franchise about a group of working trains chugging away on the Island of Sodor, has been called a "premodern corporate-totalitarian dystopia" in the New Yorker, imperialist and sinister in Slate, and classist, sexist and anti-environmentalist in the Guardian. And yet people -- presumably parents -- spend $1 billion on "Thomas" merchandise every year.

What utter BS. It is a kids show, geared towards toddlers who like trains. There are female characters such as the carriages that Thomas pulls (Annie and Clarabell), not to mention Mavis and Daisy who are also on the railway. My 2 year old watched it obsessively (the old , old episodes) and learned his colors, numbers and all that good shite.

Agree with this. Their solutions to the problem suck though.

CNN supports forms of government that have historically become fascist, so I'd be wary of any finger pointing from them.

It's easy to point out "issues". Much harder to find solutions. Never met a liberal who had one for anything tbh
