With a nose like that, I’m surprised she was unable to sniff out Octavian’s plot.
She knew well enough what Octavian was capable of. She thought she could charm him just like she charmed Julius Caesar and Mark Antony before him. Octavian was a different sort of creature altogether who could not be charmed by someone who he considered a whore.

Henry VIII was morbidly obese. All the Hapsburgs had a weird jawline that came from intermarrying with each other. George III was most likely a paranoid schizophrenic. And most of the Roman Emperors were completely fricked in the head. Pick whoever you believe is the worst president we've ever have and he's infinitely better than a typical preindustrial monarch.

Looks like Adam Driver a Kylo Ren.

He then declared her an enemy of Rome when in 30 BC her next move was suicide . It was perhaps the first recorded instance of pussy actually taking the L.

I enjoy these reconstructions. The Greeks and Romans left many very detailed busts of their leaders.
Here's Alexander the Great based on two different statues.
Statue 1:
Statue 2:
Literary sources described Alexander as being on the blonde side of hair color. Some sources described him as having one blue and one brown eye (a condition known as heterochromia). The 2nd drawing depicts him this way.
Augustus Caesar - 1st Emperor of Rome (was described as blonde by people who knew him):
Julius Caesar:
Mark Antony (relative of Julius Caesar):
Roman emperor Hostilian:
Roman Emperor Nero (was described in literature as red haired):
And we have to include Caligula because he's "just here for the gang bang."

Heracleanum
Did you mean Herculaneum as in the village by Vesuvius? Or is there a portrait made from the iris plant Xiphion Heracleanum?

She was Greek.
I dated a Greek post grad student at LSU. Large nose, large bones, and more thick, coarse hair than my dog. Great woman.

My favorite is 3D sculptor Hadi Karimi's reconstruction of Mozart inspired by authentic portraits and contemporary descriptions of him. He was believed to be no taller than 4'11".

All signs point to her beauty being purely fictional, maybe even a reverse nickname that people started taking seriously at some point.
Here's a coin that was minted when she was alive.

I was wondering the same. I did a search for "Heracleanum" and found this exact thread with the same mistake posted a year ago on Reddit. Go figure.

Wooof. My God that’s an unfortunate looking woman…

Most all of these make sense....except this one. The nose on the color reconstruction is way off, eyes are too narrow, mouth too wide. The statue on the right is more along the lines of the other two reconstructions.

Cleopatra in the series Rome was fire.

Cleopatra wasn't really as "beautiful" as recent movies would like to have you believe... years and years of inbreeding and incest by the Ptolemaic dynasty, in an effort to keep their bloodlines "pure"... she was more known for her charm than her looks... and while she may not have been downright ugly as frick, nor was she of surpassing beauty, she was more known for being of superior intellect than looks...
