We just had our 20 year reunion. I was impressed with how good everyone looked. Of course, all of the frick-up losers weren't there

I have a feeling that mine is the opposite

My 25 year reunion people were just happy to catch up and no one gave a rat's arse about being successful or not.

This was actually what our 25 year was. Everyone talked to everyone and had a great time whether you were friends with them in HS or not. I honestly didn’t even like HS, I only went to my 25 to see 2 friends who I hadn’t seen in years but had a really good time .

I never go. Course if I run into you on the streets I’ll say hi. I guess I wouldn’t really have anything to say otherwise so I don’t go. If we wanted to stay in touch with each other we would have already and no need for a reunion in the first place.

The older you are the better they are. Ten years people are the same as they were in HS. At 40, people have changed and mellowed. I saw a guy that I was friends with since the 4th grade. But we didn't speak much in HS. Anyway, he was so excited to see me and talked about a touchdown pass he threw me in the 6th grade like it was yesterday. That one memory brought so much joy to him, it was amazing. The rest of the reunion when I saw someone I knew well I would bring up something they did really well in any grade, usually sports related. Most of them had mostly forgotten about it, but you could see the pride and happiness in their wifes eyes when I'd tell them "good" stories about their husband's accomplishments.

I go. There are always some people there that I'm very happy to see.

These people peaked in High School and want to redo their one time in life when they felt important.

Opposite situtation with mine. I went to my 40th a couple of years ago. In attendance were doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, successful business owners, and a former marine fighter pilot and current 3 star general. We were all happy to see each other, talk about our kids and lives, and discuss old times.

I was a 1977 hs graduate. Didn't go to my 10 year one in 1987, because the rednecks I graduated with didn't invite the black people that graduated with us. The school was 57% black when we were there.

I went to the class behind my class' 20th along with 10 or 12 others they invited. I did go to the 35 year one for my class.

My brother, who's four years older than I, graduated from the high school where we lived in Mississippi. I went to his 30 year reunion for about an hour, then left it and hung out with some of my old junior high buddies.

They were all fun.

ETA: My 35 was awkward for me at first. I had a blood clot in my leg that caused compartment syndrome, and I had to have a fasciotomy in 2010. I've had to wear a brace on my leg since. When I went to that reunion in 2012, I was still using a cane. I was the only one in the class using a cane, but six people out of 90 were dead.

What say you about High School reunions?

I’ve been to two and enjoyed them. Allowed me to reconnect with some old friends. Something for which I’m immensely grateful. Fun to see where everyone went/is, but never felt like it was a dick shaking contest. Just more of a realization how lucky we were to grow up when we did.

30 year this year and I’m still 0 for however many they’ve had I could care less to go to see all the popular ones trying to relive their glory in their 40’s

My 50 year reunion is this year. If I wanted to see old folks I wasn’t friends with I’d go to the nursing home…haha.

I keep in touch with my friends so I won’t be missing anything especially for 200 bucks.

It’s just a way to raise money and get some alumni back in touch with the school. It has nothing to do with your relationship to other people.

What’s funny is when people rent a nicer vehicle than their regular ride in order to “show off” at their high school reunion.
