Clancy's lawyer asks Trump to consider pardoning his client in stunning 'GMA' plea

Lindsay Clancy’s outspoken lawyer, Kevin Reddington, directly appealed to President Trump early Tuesday to pardon the killer mom.
“Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady – the type of person she is and what she’s been through – and consider a pardon,” he told “Good Morning America” when asked what was next for Clancy after her high-profile case ended in a mistrial Friday.
The 75-year-old lawyer said he hoped Trump would weigh in given that he had “felt compelled to speak out about this case,” without noting how he’s said the mom would have to “pay the price” for killing her three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and baby Callan, 8 months.
“It’s a horrible tragedy,” Trump had told reporters last week.
“Look, she did a horrible, horrible thing. Can’t be worse. But you’ll find out what the price to pay is. There’ll be a price. It’s going to be [a] mental institution or jail or something,” Trump stated.
Reddington’s stunning request came at the end of the brief sit-down interview in which he gushed about his divisive client for being “a wonderful, wonderful person.”
“Just a wonderful neighbor, friend, wife, mother,” he said “I do feel a very strong bond with Lindsay.”

I don't believe she was charged federally. So...what would he pardon her for?

It isn't a fed case, he can't pardon a state charge. Plus she is a full up murderer...she should hang.

Isn't the situation that there was one juror that held out on a guilty plea while the other 11 were going with not guilty? If that's true then why would he be making this request since they are THIS close to getting her acquitted? I feel like I'm missing something...

Neighbor too. Her neighbor was so traumatized by the ordeal that they moved. IIRC the neighbor's kid saw a lot of the aftermath that day.
