sounds like the whole retail gas market could go real corporate. Sort of like mainstream media is now. I'm in some Facebook truck driver groups where there's always a lot of chatter about truck stops, rest stops, and who owns them and how they are being ran compared to years past. Seen more than once ads that an assistant manager at Bucees can make 150k, which seems real inflated to me.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the interiors of convenience stores.

The last 7-11s in NELA were sold to Cracker Barrel chain out of BR in 87. The 7-11s in NWLA were sold to CircleK at the same time.

When did 7/11 pull put of Louisiana? I never remember any as a kid, and I'm 38, but I still see the buildings that were built as 7/11s.

Late 80's when Circle K bought all of them.

Nah, they're fine as far as urban c-stores go. There's one I won't go into more, but that's because of HUD relocating a mini-ghetto to a neighborhood where it was not wanted, not the store ownership or management.

7-11 just made a major re-entry into SE Texas after being gone for years. They had a big deal with Sunoco gas, and a bunch of new construction in the gas station convenience store boom of late. This would be a big get for Circle K, but I doubt they pull it off this quickly after 7-11's expansion.

7-11's parent company in Japan, has it on lock. You can eat great meals at a 7-11 3 meals a day, get coffee, booze, efficient check out... And Canadians want to ruin it. 7-11's idea was to start turning their stock in the USA into something better.

The Canadians will ruin it. Cause Circle K is another term for desperation.

Circle K has to be one of the most inconsistent brands in the world. Their stores can be complete shitholes all the way to fancy, sparkling taj mahals and everything in between. And the two extremes are often within a few miles of one another.

I didn’t know that there were any 7-11s that were not already rebranded to circle K.

I used to eat the frick out of those shitty nachos when I lived in Sharlo on Brightside!

I thought Circle K bought all the 7-11s east of California like 20 years ago.
