So he got charged with 1st degree murder 2 times for killing his daughters? Or one daughter and the baby?

This story and the others like it are the number one reason my faith in God is at an all time low.
If there is a god why would he allow this kind of evil.
If there is a god why would he allow this kind of evil.

We were talking at work this morning after the story broke. How did we become a society that depends on criminals in prison to handle retribution?? In other words when did we become such pussies..........if we handled this evil in our society then maybe just maybe it would give people pause in this situations.

Burn the next nail off. Dip it in everclear. Set said alcohol on fire. Do that with all 20 nails. When that stops. Remove his digits a knuckle at a time. Taking the time to cauterize each wound so he doesn't bleed to death. I can get more creative as time goes on. He needs to know fear. Real fear. Anyone who harms a child needs to be taken apart. Piece by piece. I'd do things that would make the cartel fear mongers puke.
Calm down, Buffalo Bill

Great. Let's make that meeting happen.

Refuse to read. He needs to be violently tortured over and over again. Rinse and repeat.

Man, that hurt to read. Really made me nauseous just thinking of the fear in those poor babies moments before. Absoltulely unthinkable acts. It’s unreal.

There is a YouTube video of the first cop on the scene when they were missing. Watts is called and shows up. They start watching the security footage from the house next door. You can see his demeanor change knowing he is screwed. This dude is pure evil.

I’d like him to simply live with the fear those poor babies had just before they died. They loved and trusted their daddy. Most kids just want their mommies or daddies in a moment of fear. I can’t imagine what those kids had to live through in their dying moments.

He deserves a slow, long, torturous death.

I'd like to tie it into the death penalty argument. A few notes first:
1) before the plea-deal (essentially life in prison, no parole), the wife's family wanted to take the death penalty off the table, because there was enough death already, and they are Catholic
2) upon learning the newest evidence of the much deeper evil of the last hour of the daughter's lives, their lawyer hinted (per Dr. Phil show) that Shannan's parents might have been inclined to want him executed had they known that.
I am pro death penalty. I am aware that our legal system has jailed and executed some innocent people. I have a very hard time with that. Beyond a reasonable doubt is NOT a perfect standard.. with juries, bias, etc. Injustice of that magnitude is very, very difficult to me.
However, THIS case is open and shut, with NO possibility whatsoever that the convicted is anything other than the perpetrator. I could conceivably give him life in prison, or 40-60 years for the 'crime-of-passion' of his wife, even though there was some evidence of pre-meditation. But let's skip that argument.
The 45 minute drive at 5am, daughters in truck, talking, questioning, scared, worried. Mom is dead and wrapped up and based on video evidence, I think she is in the bed of the truck. Daughters know this. He is freaking out, but he has options. Few options.. but there is a path that does not involve murdering two completely helpless, innocent children. 45 minutes of thought... yet he does it anyway.
How does ANYONE oppose the death penalty based on the facts of the above paragraph?
NOTE: since the murderer was the only one who knew these facts, he would have never revealed them knowing capital punishment was on the table. So I guess this case does become academic at this point.
