this is probably more an issue of parents not washing their kid's masks

The face masks studied were new or freshly-laundered before wearing and had been worn for 5 to 8 hours

I'm sure it's quite a bit worse for the ones that are not washed or exchanged often

Pointlessness will always be pointless.

The issue is the public in general not washing or wearing a cloth mask correctly which we knew from the start. This isn't news. It's just proof that these things are pointless.

Can you not read? The article clearly states that these were new or freshly laundered masks.

I did an experiment in college where we washed our hands with various types of soap and then swabbed and cultured.

You be surprised how ineffective some soap is and what is considered normal flora.

I wonder if all of the above are ingested on a regular basis
no, the material in the mask creates them

Two thoughts:

One: If the kids weren’t wearing the masks, wouldn’t they have been exposed to the TB, Diptheria, etc. anyway?

Two: Where the frick are these kids living that there’s a ton of infectious bacterial infections?

Everyone knew this would happen. It's science.

anyone that took Micro lab in college can tell you that there are all kinds of random bacteria on literally everything

Of course.

I feel like this study is similar to the ones we do in high school bio classes where we swab keyboards and cell phone faces to see what bacteria is there.

Newsflash: There’s a ton. And similar to the OP’s study.

I'd have some questions for the parents of the 4th grader that they found a traditional beer brewing yeast on their mask

So, we should take “something” and cover the intake of our respiratory system to prevent a respiratory disease, while providing a warm, moist environment for bacteria and fungi?

The analysis detected the following 11 alarmingly dangerous pathogens on the masks:

• Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia)

• Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis)

• Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis)

• Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis)

• Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs— resistant to antibiotics)

• Escherichia coli (food poisoning)

• Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease)

• Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria)

• Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires' disease)

• Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates)

• Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis)

My counter would be how many of the kids in this study ended up diagnosed with one of these diseases in their mask wearing period? If it is dangerous, why are we not seeing significant spikes among in-person students wearing masks of sepsis, TB, pneumonia, Legionnaire’s, etc?

Is this really any different then the bacteria they encounter on keyboards or cell phones/touch screens?

Still cracks me up to this day that one of the main items they were pumping at first was "wash your hands and don't touch your face!".

For the first two months, Democrats, media, and even Dr. Fauci said masks wouldn't help.

When the it was obvious it wasn't taking off after Dem pols went into the streets to virtue signal in February and March, all of the sudden the mask push started.

Well, when you wear a mask, what is the basic step you take to put it on? That's right, you touch it, then put it on your face. And then off we go!!!!!

I’m not directing that at you personally. It was never about science, always about politics and control.
