Landry donor attorneys about to get PAID

What does landry have to do with this though?

Did he bring the 2013 lawsuit?

The jury found them guilty, not Landry.

Landry is also not a judge.

you can't overlook that fatass. Maybe they can use it to payback the money we owe for canceling the barataria diversion.

Maybe, but I'm not sure anyone knows where the money is actually going to go. Does the parish keep it? Is it going into the State Coastal Fund? Or is it going into the parish president's personal checking account?

Y’all are crazy if you think plaintiff lawyers create the negligence or causes of action they recover on.

Plaintiff attorneys are what they are in this state because Louisiana jurors make it so.

We aren't a shithole by accident.

It already is killing it. Chevron just sold their assets in haynesville. I know of another company that got hit by these bullshite lawsuits. Btw, these started with JBE slimy arse. Landry isn’t doing shite to discourage it bc it’s a lot of the same people. Same La shite, why any company would want to do business in this state is beyond me.

I wonder what the real causes were and how much will be charged to large fur bearing rodents who decimate swamp vegetation.

Proper picture of nutria eating swamp grass.

looks like the parish would get it. Then they'll probably just toss it in the Gulf of Mexico.

Sounds like there is a plan but not much details about it and may not have buy off from the state. This is according to the plaintiffs attorney.

I doubt "they" ever stop dicking around with lawyers and do enough to actually fix the coastline. And maybe that's fine, it's all loose silt for a hundred miles. It's not real land.

Otters- like the ones in your picture- don't damage swamp land. They aren't herbivores.

And neither Texaco nor Nutrias do near as much damage as channeling the Mississippi River has done. I guarantee you no entities have done more to harm the Louisiana coastline than the USACOE and the Oyster lobby and oyster fishermen.

$45 million to some rocks along a barrier island

Interesting list. Rocks won't do anything. Anyone remember the Chevron East Timbalier facility and the attempts to armor the shoreline with rocks.?

Aren’t they suing the oil companies for digging canals decades ago that were permitted by the state?

Is this actually cancelled? I have heard only rumors on my end that it is not officially cancelled. Just rumors though - who knows.

State let oil companies run wild for decades, and the companies naturally took advantage and left land polluted rather than spend money to clean up their messes. They gambled they’d get away with it, but now they may have to pay some expenses. Will likely still come out ahead,

And they don’t even have to worry about getting sued by most OT posters, who are totally against the suits. The posters will keep their polluted land and like it.

there were talks about reducing it to the point that it'll be wasteful. Best chance for it is probably voting Landry out in 2.5 years.

This is dumb, I’m guessing you’re an attorney. LA Statewide 29-B came into effect in 1982. That’s more than 40 yrs ago. Also the most stringent and ridiculous regulations in the lower 48 states at the time. Don’t spout stupid shite.
