They bought ~70 acres in Bridgeland...just south of the intersection of 290 and 99. Probably a supplemental campus only though.
I live right by the Tomball Noble buildings and they have signs that its up for lease. So sounds like they will just be moving everyone downtown until the development is done and then split everyone up probably depending on position.
Would imagine trading, scheduling, etc stay downtown if i had to guess and most research, geo and engineering moves out.
The Exxon campus out in Spring that has everyone at it is 385 acres so not nearly the size even though Chevron is a shade smaller. Won't be everyone for sure, but they may lease out the 3rd building they own downtown...the two Enron buildings they are in I believe are connected...probably just keep those if I had to guess.

This is where Chevron is supposed to move all of their labs. These are currently in a building on Briarpark on the west side of town. Once complete, they would also move their geomechanics labs out of California and house them in Bridgland.
Execs will be downtown - they will not be moving out of the two towers they currently have. Employees are scattered around all of the surrounding suburbs, moving out the central downtown offices would cause havoc for a huge portion of the employee base.

I don't regret voting against Wilson. He's incompetent, and he'd have been a governor for New Orleans while thumbing his nose at the rest of the state.
This dumbshit mentality is why we got Landry.. Wilson wasn’t winning shite no matter what. Worse case scenario was Landry vs Wilson in a run off which Landry would have won easily.

Chevron has 7000 employees in Houston and only 2000 in "corporate" San Ramon. It will likely just be absorbed for the most part downtown.

He's had some chatter about universal school choice, but I don't think that's solid yet.
He signed SB 313, which is LA's school of choice program. It begins being phased in for the 25-26 school year.
ETA: I'm not a big Landry supporter, but that is one thing that he did. Most of the stuff that he's doing has been pandering nonsense.

Chevron's CA headquarters is a holdover from days when southern Cal onshore and offshore basins were major producers and oil was a larger part of the region's economy. Once Chevron centralizes in Houston they'll soon be buying or be bought.

per their website in 2020 they were [producing 102,000 bbl/day in California, so about 4% of their revenues.

Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio are as politically Left as Austin, they’ve just got blacks and Mexicans instead of Hipster Whites.
Houston is the most conservative city in the country.

Unfortunately, Texas is on its way to turning blue. Only one major city (Dallas) has a Republican mayor.
Houston is far more conservative than Dallas. Dallas’ mayor switched parties after the fact. But I know you didn’t know that

Small presence - I know some guys who work there and they are mostly handicapped career wise, but they don’t wanna move. Maybe with Chevron in Houston that could change.
