Still not sure how the right hand drive thru is supposed to work, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

Checkers is set to open its fourth Baton Rouge area location at 4536 Plank Road at the end of January. Ramsey Ali, the local franchisee for the hamburger chain, said the Checkers will have a dine-in section and an outdoor patio. About 20-25 people will work in the restaurant.

You’ve never been to a right handed drive thru? Get out there and live man.

Why would I go to Rally's when there is a Roul's barely 6 blocks north of that location?

I ate at the one on Coursey last week just because I haven't had it in like 20 years and thought I remembered liking it. It was ok but nothing special. Fries are good.

Over/under on how long it takes before a shooting or robbery takes place at that location.

Yeah I hear ya. Can't tell if the places I used to think were okay went downhill or if I just sort of misremember it.
I don't remember Burger King sucking so badly.

I love how they sell their fries in stores. Whenever I'm too lazy to make my own, I always buy theirs

The guy that’s opening this location is the former student worker for my old office. He’s done really well for himself.

Gravy is happy because white peoples money is being put into black neighborhoods.
He was super upset over the St George and white flight thing. He said white people made all that money and now they just want to leave with it

They need to get their shite together. They had a line around the building and the employees were like slow moving zombies. One dude was in the back of the restaurant pretending to stack boxes and talking on his phone. Then walked thru the dining room saying "frick frick."
Even though they were busy, my burger looked and tasted like it was sitting around for thirty minutes.
A man dropped his daughter off for work. Obviously her first job. Her dad came inside and witness all the frickery going on. He went postal and killed everyone, including me.
And yes, the fries are good.

I would get the chili dog after a few Saturday afternoon drinks.. The last time (a few years ago) it was shite.. Fries tasted like seafood.. It was the one on Bonnabel and Vets.. I think they hire the Popeyes rejects...

As someone who's friends with the owner of Roul's and had their birria egg rolls just last night, even I think this is a good idea. The two won't really compete for customers. Plus, Roul's closes at 9pm and all day Sunday.

It wasn't bad or anything. Just not something I'd go out of my way for.

Is this shite any good? They have been building one in Ponchatoula for about 3 years and it still hasn’t opened.

I bet the one on Florida, adjacent to the Turner Plaza, housing projects prints money. That Coursey location, across the street from the Old Quarters location should do very well too.

Checkers fries are goat tier among fast food imo. Burgers are OK.
Anyone who goes to Checkers is almost always going for the fries.
