Not to question your decision, because I agree completely with it, but if they did come out and say they would terminate if not vaxed by Date XYZ would you continue to working through that day? I understand burning any vacation but I think I would consider that statement my termination and stop working right then.

It’s not actually a mandate, it’s essentially an order to OSHA to establish a mandate. It’s being challenged in numerous places. Oschner just jumped the legal gun.
Lack of mandate is actually a real unspoken recruiting tool for hospitals. Most are afraid of losing nurses in a bad enough staffing shortage, but also too scared to advertise lack of mandate to send the bat signal.

Don’t know the exemption process at any of these hospitals though
