I go dry two months a year, January and usually June or July. This year I have a Dad and daughter trip for January 12-16 and really wanted to remain dry for that so I started early this year the day after Christmas to better acclimate by the time we leave. NYE and NYD wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but test was passed with flying colors.

So far, I am definitely sleeping better and have less cravings for crap food.

This will be my 109th consecutive dry month. Best choice I ever made.

No alcohol for 45 Days. I'll be back for Opening Night at the Box to celebrate the 2023 Natty.

Last drink was NYE so I am still in the game. Vegas in 2 weeks may present a challenge.

Since I was drinking some wine daily, my first night's sleep was crap. But last night was better. I took a year off from drinking in 2021 so I know the highs and lows.

I want to quit drinking for a while too. It's been too much. Only problem is have a wedding and two concerts to go to in the next few weeks so it would be kind of hard. Not even including Mardi Gras in a month.

Not going dry, but cutting way back. I always drink too much from Thanksgiving to New Years. Not just bad for me, but gets expensive.

I have had a nasty rhinovirus of some kind (not covid) for 2+ weeks, so I have hardly noticed any alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Usually when I make it through that first weekend (which is coming up), I can feel the wind in my sails and am good for a month or two.

Dry January checking in. So far, easy. Anniversary is on the 28th so that'll be tougher to navigate.

Does that count the 1st ?

I got my drank on watching football Monday but will be sober the remainder of the month.

Ive done Dry January 3 years running now and easily the hardest part is that first weekend. If you can get through that first one the rest aren't so bad.

Stay strong Baws!!
