Holidays and now duck season over, have a pretty big drying effort planned, we'll see. Sure could use it

I'm going to keep going. Don't know if I'll make it past mardi gras, but we'll see. I'd like to do a full three months.

I've lost 3 pounds, which is a lot for a small guy like me.

I just drink socially, rarely have a drink without someone to shoot the shite with. Drank a bunch right around the 30th, and looking back I had about 1/2 a glass of a rose my wife said was good, and two hot toddys with a combined shot of whiskey during the freeze.

Have a ball this weekend, but plan on driving, I may just not drink at all. The older I get the less I like feeling anywhere near hungover. The exception is a few pool days a year where beer just tastes so, so good.

Still holding strong. It honestly hasn’t been difficult with the exception of one day last week when I thought it was going to be the day I’ve been dreading for years and I was going to have to put my dog down (he’s fine thankfully).

We have dinner plans on 2/1 and I plan on having a glass of wine with dinner but other than that I intend to keep going while allowing myself an occasional glass of wine or beer.

I’m curious to see where my BFP is in comparison to the start of the month. I’ll find that out on Thursday.

Was sober 24/31 days for January. Not very good compared to the last 2 years where I was sober for all of January

After what Gump Nation went through in January, I’d say that you have acquitted yourself well.

Had two hiccups towards the end but feel great. Lost 10lbs. Work is more productive. Everything is better.

I have no desire to go back and going to keep powering through Feb.

I had 1 beer at dinner with a buddy, 1 taste of bourbon my buddy had while we were making deer sausage and about 7-8 beers at a cookoff I did last weekend. All in all I think I did pretty good. I do need to quit all together though. I went to a Mardi Gras Ball, didn't drink at all and still had a great time. I also have a fatty liver, and drinking isn't good for a fatty liver.

Made it.

Down a few pounds, hit the gym with much more regularity and got some good results, havent had a drink since Christmas night.

I’ve gradually been weening down.

There’s no disputing it. You feel so much better in every way.

Drinking is like an affair, it fun while it’s going on but Hell on the other side.
