The aircraft was on approach to Naples Airport, Florida (APF) when the flight radioed that they had lost both engines and were not able to make it to the runway.

Actually we are. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s it seemed like their was a domestic airliner crash every other year.

Strangely, i took a trip about 5 yrs ago from NOLA to Siesta Key.. on the way back, i got stuck in an epic traffic jam because …….. a plane had landed on I75.. safely though, i think.. ill see if i can find the pics i took .

looking at the flight track, looks like he was on final approach.. low altitude, flaps down, loss of one engine can kill you but two.. just isn't fair

A double engine failure is most likely a fuel systems issue. Or possibly a multiple bird strike.

Report is the left wing tip hit the road, spun it into the wall, and flipped more than once. Reports are 5 on board.
