We rolled up at that house one night and did donuts in their front yard. Figured we would be cursed the rest of our lives but still living today.

Maybe you can answer an age old question for me. How long ago did the bridge at the end of Stevendale and Frenchtown become closed?

That was way way back possibly in the 50s as I've heard

We did that several times too. Are you talking about the house past the railroad tracks and to the left? The house was set waaaayyyy back and the front yard was more of a field. I damn near got stuck in the field one night.

There used to be a bridge that crossed the comite and went from Stevendale to Frenchtown?

Yes, if you go down the end of either of those roads, you get to a ‘bridge out’ barricade and end of the road. They connected at some point but I’ve never spoken to a soul that knows when the bridge was actually used.

BATON ROUGE - A suspected burglar died while fleeing sheriff's deputies after his vehicle went off-road and ended up beneath a bridge.

Looks like this was the end of a police chase of a burglary suspect.

I would be blown away to find out there was a bridge near there. My parents live down Frenchtown Rd. I’ve never seen any bridge out barricades back there. Would love to find out more about this.

same. There was a hunting lease at the end of Frenchtown prior to the BREC area being opened.
