Celebrity Security Guards

I started thinking about celebrity’s and their personal security guards.
They all have them to one degree or another.
Mark Zuckerberg spends $27 million a year for personal security for himself and family plus his various residences.
Elon Musk has elaborate security costing millions, everywhere he goes he has armed guards and a trained medical professional. His guards are deputized by Fed Marshall Service so they can carry guns in Federal buildings.
Taylor Swift spends $8-$12 million a year plus security for her various properties.Everywhere she goes she has 4 bodyguards, for the New Era tour she had 83 so that least 4 would be on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Her #1 personal bodyguard is a guy named Drew that accompanies her everywhere including restrooms. He’s been with her for years, she pays him $1 million +/year.
Frick all that,I’d rather be poor than have to have guards everywhere I go.
No wonder so many celebrities have mental issues. It would drive me nuts.

Glenn Beck, not a Hollywood celeb, but he has numerous former special ops folks that guard him and his home compound.
Has some trained security dogs as well.

I used to work for a very wealthy man. Not Zuckerberg or Elon level but he had a net worth north of $1 billion. Zero security. Just a low profile guy that basically nobody knew he had the wealth he did. He even drove himself around. Made his fortune in oil and gas service companies.

This is a ridiculous take based on the amount of money they spend vs. net worth vs. actual security risks.

My crack team of Gurkhas work cheaper than that.

How about the title ‘Celebrity’s Security Guards.’
Your title implies that famous people are acting as guards.

I worked security as recently as five years ago.
It would be hard for people to believe who see me now.
I didn't want to start doing it again, but I needed the money.

two different threats:
swift needs protection from crazy "fans" a la John Lennon
Musk has to be protected antifa types

Something I just learned the other day.
Before breaking into acting, Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile, Armageddon) worked as a celebrity body guard. One of the people he worked with regularly was Notorious B.I.G. Duncan was actually supposed to be his security the night he was killed but a different bodyguard asked to swap assignments.
Duncan resigned from the security company the next day.

Double checked. It's just "celebrities." It was "celebrities and their body guards," not "celebrities and the celebrities' body guards." The "their" is the possessive word.
